The Quiet Reset...
What a relief to move through this week and remain proactive across every area of life. There is something about completion that keeps the pursuit sharp. The finish line of one chapter becomes the starting line of the next, and that rhythm is everything. It’s easy to catch when you’re not in rhythm. The day starts feeling off. It could be one thing you respond to that can change your whole day for better or for worse. We never know why, but I’m not here to be a fortune teller. I only move with discernment.
We all need something to anchor us. I found mine in unexpected places, quietly replacing what I once chased with something far more sustaining. The want for so many things has dissolved, and in its place a clarity has settled in that has reset both my outlook and my outcomes. Do better, Be Better, and become better. That’s something I repeat to myself daily. It’s evolution happening all around us. Catch on with the times, or time will escape you, and when you look around, it will be as foreign as anything you’ve ever known.
Each morning begins with scripture and ends with it. In between, there is movement, intentional eating, podcasts that stretch my thinking, and a stillness that used to feel foreign. I no longer feel as though I am missing what is happening outside. When I do step out, I seek experience and peace, not noise. Life feels like I’m looking at a complex painting and finding my way of understanding around it the same way I interpret scripture. It’s life in those scrolls. Its presence here. Take it all in and use your time wisely.
There is no longer any stress or anxiety, even when everything is not perfect. The highs and lows are both welcome. Things working for me are a blessing. Things not working for me are a blessing too, because what is not for you cannot stay, no matter how much you hold on to it. I have learned to approach life with simplicity, and that decision has changed the quality of everything I touch. My circle of influence makes sure I focus on quality in everything I do. My accountability is of the utmost importance in this journey walk.
Stepping into the technology space has been genuinely fulfilling. I keep my focus on gratitude and what is being built, not on the politics I left behind. Having witnessed so much in a short period of time, you develop a kind of awareness that other people spend years searching for. That awareness becomes a source of reference when you stop resisting it and simply step into it. The more we learn, the more value we carry into the world. Value is meaningful. It carries you into rooms and spaces you can’t predict or imagine. In everything, know if you work at something consistently, it all flows, and know that it will eventually will happen for you.
Everything you experience comes down to three decisions you are making constantly, whether consciously or not. The first is what you choose to focus on. Your attention determines your feeling, and your feeling determines your reality. Direct it with intention. The second is the meaning you assign to what happens. The same event can be a threat or an opportunity depending on the story you give it. That story shapes your emotional response and everything that follows. The third is what you do with it. The action you take from that feeling drives every outcome and sets the tone for the decisions ahead. Most people leave all three of these on autopilot. The ones who do not are the ones who move differently. Choose your hard and make a decision.
Until next time….
